AGNELLA SA

The factory began its operation in July of 1975. The privatization of February 1991 allowed for factory restructuring that has become the proverbial driving force behind AGNELLA. Large investments were dedicated to the introduction of the latest carpet and rug manufacture technologies, including, inter alia, a complete replacement of machinery. In accordance with the latest trends in company management, FABRYKA DYWANÓW AGNELLA SA or AGNELLA CARPET FACTORY SA has been subjected to an in-depth reorganization.

This has quickly resulted in a threefold growth in export value. The company has successfully begun to conquer international markets and to fight for customers, mainly in Great Britain, USA and East European countries. Today, half of the production is oriented towards the customers outside Poland. The objective for the upcoming years is to increase export up to 80% of sales.

The key turning point of company operation was the start-up of the first loom allowing for the manufacture of high-quality wool carpets. It was AGNELLA's way of saying that from now on the company is focusing on prestige, luxury and high product quality.

It was due to the general "towards nature" trend that the company has decided to put emphasis on the development of the products made of natural fibres – wool, and to continue investing into this segment. Naturally, this does not mean that the manufacture of synthetic carpets and rugs has been terminated. Interesting solutions relating to both synthetic yarns and product design are searched for on a continuous basis. For a modern state-of-the-art company this is the challenge brought by the consumer market. The "Kobierce polskie" collection is AGNELLA'a real hit on the Polish market. The collection refers to the material culture of old Polish Republic. The patterns presented in this unique collection have been borrowed from various museum collections.

THE JOURNEY FOR THE GOLDEN FLEECE

AGNELLA SA manufactures rugs and carpets using two technologies: Wilton and Axminster.
Wilton (also called "face-to-face") is the most widespread carpet manufacture technology worldwide. The technology owns its popularity to the optimum and best of the possible combinations of such traits as variety of pattern options, high production performance and high product quality.

Axminster is a machine technology known for nearly two hundred years and named after the city, in which it was used for the very first time. Despite the worldwide development of multiple machine technologies, including technologies that incorporate the use of synthetic yarns to lower the price of products, the Axminster carpets are still enticing customers across the worldwide markets.

The Axminster carpet is a product that guarantees a high-quality level. It is used to cover the floors of the most exclusive interiors. The Axminster carpet gives rooms a unique character while ensuring a cozy, luxurious and elegant feeling. It is simply the carpet with class!

As a technology with tradition, Axminster stands up to the passage of time. The latest generation looms combined with electronic Jacquard machinery allow for rapid response to the challenges of modern designs and for fulfillment of the requirements of the most demanding customers.

What makes the Axminster carpets different?
The raw material. These carpets are manufactured of the fibres imported from England to make a yarn that is characterized by a unique composition allowing convenient use and excellent durability of the product to be combined in the most optimal way.

So, on one hand the Axminster carpet is a symbol of customer's comfortable lifestyle, prestige and wealth and on the other hand – resistance to wear and tear. Hence, the huge interest in the technology itself. It is used in the places with large traffic volumes – at public facilities such as restaurants, hotel corridors, representative rooms, cinemas, theatres, etc. The Axminster carpets have proven to be excellent for use in intimate rooms, including hotel corridors.
Axminster may be joined easily to make simple or fancy compositions. Thanks to the joint imagination of the designers and experts, who stay in direct touch with production line, a work of art might even be created!

It is possible as AGNELLA, aside from standard proposals, has been successful in developing individual patterns comprising a harmonious whole with decoration of specific interiors and facilities. An example of this could be the stylish Branicki Hotel located in Bialystok. Customers frequently request that a motif already present in a specific room be incorporated into a carpet. Such procedure has already been carried out at the "Malinowa" restaurant of the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw. The room area does not limit the completion of a project. Complex and frequently enlarged patterns are made up of several bars joined together in a puzzle-like manner (see drawing on page 20). AGNELLA's products may be admired in the rooms of numerous hotels not only in Poland. Our designers pay frequent visits to Cannes or Las Vegas resulting in successive projects.

Next to patterns, the variety of colours play an extremely important role in shaping the final products that make up a showpiece of AGNELLA's technological abilities.
The start-up of state-of-the-art dye house was the first step allowing for the adjustment of structural solutions that stand up to the highest currently available technical levels. The machine's electronic control system allows for automatic operation based on the selected dye programme. A state-of-the-art dye tank allows for significant speed improvement in developing even the boldest colours and for fast preparation of the so-called colour samplers for the purposes of the works related to designing new patterns.
A special and innovative method of high frequency field fibre drying does not interfere with material structure thus, ensuring the preservation of its characteristics and the products' usage values.
In our concern for the environment, the dying process is designed so as to allow the water utilized in the process to be reused.

Investment expenditures did not go miss the design offices, whose fruits of creative work are transferred directly onto looms by electronic means. The utilization of the best graphics software for designing rugs and carpets and of the latest generation of looms ensures high-quality manufacture.

The products of FABRYKA DYWANÓW AGNELLA SA have the required certifications confirming their high non-flammability and anti-static levels. In addition, they have been granted an international GUT ecological certificate confirming that all of the materials used in the manufacturing process meet the highest world standards. At the same time, AGNELLA has the right to use the Wool of New Zealand and British Wool brands on their rugs and carpets.

WALKING ON MOSS

Due to their composition, the rugs and carpets manufactured by Fabryka Dywanów AGNELLA SA can be divided into two groups: wool and synthetic.

The New Zealand wool used by AGNELLA is regarded as the material of the highest quality parameters ensuring softness and fluffiness in the ready products. In addition, the wool rugs are resistant to moths, non-flammable and have hygroscopic characteristics – they either absorb moisture, whenever the humidity level is too high, or give it off, when the air is too dry. In case of wool carpets, one can say that these are the carpets that "breath".

The advantages of wool rugs and carpets are especially appreciated by the customers, who expect them to give that cozy, fluffy and warm feeling under feet while providing isolation from cold floors.
Also, not without importance is the fact that wool rugs stand up to the passage of time more than the products made of other materials.

Synthetic rugs and carpets manufactured of the latest generation of yarns and subjected to various refinement processes are a continuously improved imitation of natural yarns. Not only is their chemical composition not harmful to the environment but these products are resistant to chemicals, moths, bacteria, molds and enzymes and they are also much easier to clean compared to standard wool rugs.
